Family of murdered newlywed Anni Hindocha call on her husband Shrien Dewani to go to South Africa for trial to answer the Police evidence against him. He is currently in the UK fighting extradition and has recently been incarcerated in a secure mental hospital after breaching his bail conditions. Dewani was kicked out of the Priory hospital after frightening other patients and throwing a plate at the door.

Great Wine Capitals: a world of excellence
The Great Wine Capitals is a network of nine major global cities in both the northern and southern hemispheres, which share a key economic and cultural asset: their internationally renowned wine regions.
It is the only such network to encompass the so-called ‘Old’ and ‘New’ worlds of wine, and exists to encourage travel, education and business exchange between the internationally-renowned centres of Bilbao | Rioja, Bordeaux, Cape Town, Christchurch | South Island, Firenze, Mainz | Rheinhessen, Mendoza, Porto, and San Francisco-Napa Valley.
Since its creation in 1999, the Network has introduced:
• A prestigious annual competition; the ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards.
This International competition is designed to reward the wineries in each member city that have distinguished themselves in terms of the excellence of their facilities in various categories from art and culture to sustainable wine tourism, and delivering quality experiences to the public. Since their inception, over 309 properties have received an award from 2099 nominees.
• A business network with extensive training and information seminars, forums and tastings. Business facilities are also provided for visits between member cities.
• An annual International Student Grant.
This grant aims at promoting excellence and innovativeness in wine research. It encourages reseraches in topics interesting the Network (wine tourism, wine marketing, sustainability,…) and highlights the brightest students enrolled in wine education programs in the member cities of GWC.
• Symposiums of experts on investments in the wine sector and education initiatives in wine. These take place often at the annual general meetings, when conferences are held to debate and illuminate crucial issues that affect the wider world of wine.
• Technical and /or commercial exploratory trips to the member wine regions. Knowledge-sharing is a crucial part of the network, as is the idea that each city can benefit from the strengths of their neighbours in the network.
• A Great Wine Capitals Travel Network to facilitate travel between the regions, where travel agencies in each city develop custom-made food and wine itineraries. They are destination specialists in each city and are able to handle all travel requirements to and between the Great Wine Capitals.
The Great Wine Capitals aims to heighten the wine experience for everyone who visits these cities, and to help the cities themselves make the most of their extraordinary culture, heritage and geographical locations.

On June 28, 2010 a cashier of a well known supermarket in Nelspruit was R 2 800 short when cashing up at the end of the day. No explanation for the lost money could be given.
On June 30, 2010 an e-mail was circulated by a national supermarket chain alerting retailers with regard to a “MONEY SWIPING SYNDICATE. Photos of the suspects as per security cameras of the store and shopping mall were attached to the e-mail.
After having received the e-mail referred to above, the store’s security cameras were checked on June 30, 2010 and it was found that the method used by the syndicate followed the exact MODUS OPERANDI as described in the e-mail the details of which are at the beginning of the YOUTUBE video. It appears the syndicate comprises of two males and two females. Not all footage recorded by the store’s security cameras is shown on this YOUTUBE video.
This is an alert to ALL RETAILERS in South Africa to be aware of how the suspects operate. Please forward this link to ALL RETAILERS for viewing.
