I left South Africa to go on a working holiday. I wanted to earn pounds and see the world. I meant to only go for 18 months and one thing led to another – me doing my masters, then a great job and finally starting a business. 9 years later I just knew in my gut I had to come home and so in December 2007 I returned to SA. I have now been here a year, and it has been the most amazing year. Watch this video to know why I would try and do everything to stay in SA for the rest of my life. Coming home was certainly the best thing I have ever done! Go to www.ipsinvest.com for more information.

I dont blame …
I dont blame someone for where they choose to live. I was not saying anything about any other countries – I was saying why I enjoy South Africa and why I want my children to grow up in South Africa. Life is all about your attitude and you can say they have to live behind 4 walls, I believe they can use what is great about this country and most importantly grow up with attitude & personality which makes South Africans so unique and successful around the world!

BEE and AA is great …
BEE and AA is great for SA and is the reason for the great growth which we have seen. We have to ensure that there is a transfer of wealth and this needs to be done. Sure it is not always done right, but to be honest when I moved to London it was exactly the same – there were prejudices against me as I was from SA. Bottom line is the cream rises to the top and if you are good you will have no issue – I dont have one friend out of work and in my business we are always looking for good people.

Thanks for your …
Thanks for your constructive comments. Every country is different. The UK has the weather and being a crowded Island and Australia has its litigious society which is so driven by rules they have lost sense of normality. With regards to government – I am 4th generation African and no I cannot say for sure that they do. Africa is always filled with uncertainty and that is half the beauty of it. I certainly believe someone has to plan for ones future and keep this uncertainty in mind.

I dont mean to be …
I dont mean to be negative here.
I always hear people from the UK coming back, I would also because of the crap whether there compared to SA. Australia has good whether.
I just want to ask u a few questions. Do u believe that the government cares about white people? Do u think BEE and affirmative action are acceptable? Do u blame someone for wanting to live in a place where their children can go outside and not live in 4 walls. Im guessing u dont have kids since u didnt mention having any.
