March 31, 2010

I recently visited a chinese market in South Africa, with numerous black South Africans working for them, What amazed me, about most of these chinese people, was their business skills, I see them owning the business trade here in South Africa, but I see, absolutley no people skills, Is it because, they are`nt so proficient, with the english language or is it just their way of conduting themselves, but what did impress me, about the black South African`s, was their eagerness and enthusiasm to sell, the products. It was if, they were the entrepreneurs.

"Is it because, they are`nt so proficient, with the english language“

???

You are so proficient? I count at least 15 mistakes in your question.

Is this a country that values business over human rights?

Ayiza, not sure where you have your info from – but the Dalai Lama was indeed invited. He was expected to address the conference. His banning is now the reason that the conference is postponed indefinitely.

I agree with Tony, S.A. has cried for help regarding human rights and are now refusing to give another country a chance to draw attention to their situation.

Oct 2004
Thousands of South African security workers have flooded into Iraq attracted by lucrative contracts. But they run the risk of being arrested once back home.

South Africa has the fourth largest security contingent in Iraq. Many security workers are members of the old South African Defence Force and earn up to $30,000 per month. “We are here to protect ourselves and the people we work with from elements that want to kill us,” states Marius van der Riet. But there’s growing concern about the actions of these foreign mercenaries who are accountable to no-one and subject to no international laws. And the quest for big contracts and loads of money could bring another kind of danger. “Their participation in theatres of war is in conflict with the Foreign Military Assistance Act,” states South Africa’s Defence Minister Mosuia Lekota. “If we are able to identify them, they will be arrested.”

Dining OUT Mobile

Author: admin
March 30, 2010

With over 36 million cell phone users registered in South Africa in 2007 and more than 2.5 billion active users worldwide, it is not surprising that South Africas biggest restaurant guide has now gone mobile.

In January 2008 Dining-OUT released what could be one of the most useful and innovative mobile websites so far and Dining-OUT spokesman Ric Hutton believes the new restaurant guide will become one of the most successful applications driving sales of new 3G and Internet capable cell phones. Already, says Hutton, more than 70% of new subscribers purchase 3G capable handsets and within 2 years most people will have internet access with them wherever they are.

An online restaurant guide is a particularly mobile relevant application explains Hutton as the operation is simple to use and offers the user almost the same multimedia experience as on an Internet PC .

Already, Dining-OUTs internet based restaurant guide features over 800 local restaurants complete with trading hours, colour photos, full menu, map and directions and much more. All this information is now available on the new mobile based version of this popular website.

New restaurant search techniques have been implemented to make the hunt for restaurants easier and the operation uses fewer screen downloads than on a PC. In addition, the new website caters for the smaller screen display and also has the ability to detect the screen size of the user handset and adjust the display automatically. A new facility is the click and book feature which allows you to connect directly to the restaurant to make a reservation.

Dining-OUT (www.dining-out.co.za) was the industry pioneer when it released its online restaurant guide back in 2000 and this was joined by www.sleeping-out.co.za in 2003, which quickly became one of South Africas most powerful and innovative online accommodation guides. With the 2008 release of Dining-OUT Mobile, the company has once again raised the bar in the hotly contested lifestyle technology market.

Check out Dining-OUT Mobile now at http://www.dining-out.co.za/m/ on a mobile phone near you.
